So what is barefruit all about?

Barefruit Marketing is the creation of Claire and Evan Harding, who together have over 40 years experience as marketing consultants in the communications industry, both in the UK and Australia.

We have worked with brands big and small and with budgets from zero to bigger than some country’s GDP, but there was something missing… actually seeing the impact of our efforts (and hard work) first hand.

Living in the Northern Rivers on the North Coast of NSW we are surrounded by amazing brands, built by incredibly talented people. These people are so good at what they do but don’t have the time or energy to put into the marketing of their business to spread the word and grow their brand. We want to work with these businesses and brands, and together help them flourish and prosper.

Marketing is something that needs time; time to think, to plan and implement, and then change if it’s not working. With everything else that goes with running a business, business owners don’t always have the luxury of time.

That is why we created Barefruit Marketing, a down to earth, cost-effective marketing agency that produces work that delivers measurable results.

How do we like to work?

We can work independently as your ‘marketing department’, or alongside an existing marketing team on an ongoing or project basis. We firmly believe that we need to know you and your business before we can recommend any long term marketing strategies. We want to get to know you and really understand what drives you to do what you do, and what drives your customers to purchase from you.

To begin, we like to have a ‘getting to know you’ meeting, which will most likely consist of a few coffees and us asking you lots and lots of questions. We will then meet again, probably over another coffee or two, where we will present and discuss some recommendations that will be tailored to meet your business objectives and financial situation.

We want this to be a mutually-beneficial, long-lasting relationship, so we don’t have a ‘one size fits all’ model. Once we have agreed on a plan, you can leave it to us and our talented team to deliver the best possible solutions for you and your business.

Fruit Manager
Emma lived half her life in New York City, working in magazines, media and marketing, and also teaching writing and journalism to big city university students. In 2010, she wrote her first book — a quirky sort of dream job for which Emma researched and wrote the true story of an heroic Aussie cattle dog who fell overboard and survived for six months in the wild up in far north Queensland. The book sold internationally and the experience sparked Emma's long return to her Aussie childhood home. She's now reveling in life by the ocean — that is, when she's not in the office, managing several Barefruit accounts and cracking the whip on awesome and accurate copy.

Team Motivator
Our old office hatched 'Giblets', previously known as Frank. Frank was our celebration 'squeeze' when we went live with a website or won a new client. Since moving to our new office, it was becoming awkward shouting 'squeeze Frank', for our poor web designer... Frank. After an official renaming ceremony Frank is now affectionately known as 'Giblets'. So if you are passing the office and hear any strange chicken noises, it's just us squeezing Giblets - it means we're celebrating - come and join us!
