Branding vs Logo

What’s the difference between a logo and a brand?

A logo is just one small part of your Brand, just like the tip of the iceberg.  Your Brand is everything else that lies beneath the surface - it’s all the stuff that you can’t see.

What’s the difference between a logo and a brand?

I’ve already got a logo, doesn’t my brand just happen organically?

Organic brand growth definitely happens over time, but there is a much bigger picture to consider. Your brand is made up of many factors, and the key to a successful brand is ensuring that you have consistency across all touch points of your business. This includes things like your brand's tone of voice, messaging, customer service, website, imagery, packaging, advertising, mission and values. All of this forms an emotional connection between your brand and your customers – your brand is the feeling they get when they think about your business or use your products.

How a customer perceives and experiences your brand is a key factor to building trust with them.

Help, how do I create my brand?

A branding project is more than whipping up a quick logo – it can be an involved process that really defines what your organisation stands for, who your ideal customers are, and what they want. At Barefruit, we build brands. We help you craft your brand story and purpose, and we give your brand a personality that people can relate to and trust. We pinpoint what your brand should be doing to gain your customer’s trust and deliver what they want.

When we work on a branding project, our team of cultivators spend time researching your industry, competitors and customers – this is an important step that is often missed. We also develop a strategic plan and a brand ‘promise’ for your business, followed by your brand identity. This includes your mission, values, brand story, visual identity (colours, logo etc) and personality (how you look, sound and act). All of this forms a comprehensive ‘Brand Guidelines’ booklet.

Tweed Holiday Parks

Barefruit Marketing recently rebranded the iconic Tweed Holiday Parks, a significant project which was almost 18 months in the making.

During the project we created a new brand identity, which conveys the Tweed Holiday Parks brand promise of ‘space’ – physically and mentally, to relax, to be free, to connect (or disconnect), and be with yourself or loved ones, space to just… be! Their new and contemporary logo reflects the simplicity of each of the waterside parks and their locations nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the lush hinterland of Northern NSW.

Ballina RSL

After a major Club renovation and development of their strategic plan, the Ballina RSL needed to develop a marketing plan addressing communication, branding and re-positioning with their target audience.

Barefruit produced a detailed marketing plan, a new brand mark with a sub-brand system, detailed brand guidelines and a TVC show casing the new branding and brand promise – “all in Ballina”. Read more....
